Founded in 1967 by Peter Alidenes, our firm has enjoyed over 50 years in practice in the fields of Family Law, Property Law and Conveyancing, Leases and Wills and Estates. Peter's daughters, Amanda Alidenes and Penny Alidenes now run the firm.
Having started at Alidenes and Co in 1986 and following Peter's passing in 2010, Amanda Alidenes took over as Principal and established the Double Bay branch of the firm.
Amanda is is an Accredited Specialist in Family Law and has practiced exclusively in the field for 20 years. She brings a depth of knowledge, experience and expertise to this challenging field of law and life.
Penny's interests lay in Property and Wills & Estates. A Certified Practicing Accountant since 1995 in addition to her legal training, Penny brings a unique perspective to commercial transactions.
This combination made Amanda and Penny eager to cultivate their own practice, one that would effectively intersect their expertise with their respective interests. They believe the interlacing of their skills and their dedication to the practice is what achieves the desired outcomes for their clients.

Amanda Alidenes
Amanda was admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia in 1998 and has been an Accredited Specialist in Family Law since 2003. Amanda practices exclusively in the field of Family Law.
Amanda has extensive experience in all aspects of family law, de- facto and same sex relationships including property settlements, parenting disputes, adoption, child support, financial agreements and divorce .
Amanda's comprehensive knowledge and experience combined with her strong negotiation skills, initiative and empathetic nature enables her to resolve the majority of matters outside the Court system, resulting in a successful, practical outcome without costly and time consuming litigation.

Penny Alidenes
Penny is a solicitor admitted in the Supreme Court of NSW. Joining Alidenes & Co in 1998, Penny has extensive property and conveyancing experience and was awarded the prestigious Dale Turner Award for most outstanding achievement. Penny was admitted as a Certified Practicing Accountant in 1995 and has a thorough knowledge of investment accounting.
Penny provides a considered, well rounded view and a wealth of experience to the issues arise in these matters and enjoys facilitating solutions that best meet your needs and desired outcomes.
